I made a frame of 2 x 6 treated lumber, set on patio stones and bricks so the wood doesn't touch the ground. Can use 2 x 4 as well. Then I used treated plywood for the floor. Does raise the building up a bit, so I have to lift the front of the mower up to drive in, but not a big deal. I'd say you are better off getting a wooden floor or foundation at least to set the building on, I don't trust the floor kits as being strong enough, and used to sell these in my store. No matter what, needs to be very level or the dang panels will not align up and won't screw together. These are quite frustrating to put up, but hang in there and it eventually gets done. Heck, I even took mine apart in sections and moved it to a new home. Then a tornado ripped off the doors and a large tree limb crushed the front of the roof-- I just pushed everything back in place, and put aluminum flashing over the roof, and still use it- 25 years later. Not pretty, but does the job.

If you do not want to go to the expense of pouring a concrete slab..simply get an exterior wood sealer and seal both sides and ALL EDGES of the plywood with it..then put the floor on concrete blocks every 2 feet..

A key description at the site is "backyard shop"

I would download a lot of the key information and then get my Yellow Pages and look for small garages, machine shops, etc and work them

I would do a drive-by first to do a quick study

I would want to note such things as "has the shop outgrown itself?"

I would then go up, ask for the owner and brag on the amount of business, etc, gradually working in my product

See, the key is "benefitizing"--that is, how can I benefit YOU, not me

For example, as you study a shop, do you see how your product would benefit the owner?

Who can you "benefit"

Next, know inside how low you will go in price

Are you willing to take a loss?

yes the concrete price sounds fair, the high end is about $4.70 sq ft.I love pole barns as they are a movable structure.Just for grins check the price on having something stick built on the slab.By this I mean just framing, roof,a siding and you finish.

Either way with the storms you get there it may not stay in one place.I would love to see the comparison price.

Good luck

You can attach retracting blinds to the metal framework with self tapping screws

Or you might try tinting the glass

if you look into semi-truck auctions you can buy old trailers (old moving vans are the best because they have side doors & a double back door for driving in motorcycles & 4WD storage) for peanuts and have some trucking firm haul it to your location. the truck drives away and you build steps in front of the side doors, put in a small wood burning stove & 1 or 2 small windows for ventilation, lights & stove, then 2 sets of bunk beds and you have a cabin for 4 hunters for 10% of the cost of a cabin. after the trailer is leveled it would take 2 men 2 days to build the steps and install the stove & lights ... so you are looking at a cabin for 4 that you can build in 3 days.
