Tar paper can have issues when installed under a metal roof, as it can stick to the back of the roof and end up tearing when the roof expands and contracts.“E-Foil”, which is basically a foil faced bubble wrap makes a great reflective barrier insulation and acts as a cushion between your old roof and the new metal roof. As an added bonus the foil also reflects heat away from your home during the warmer months of the year which will reduce your energy costs for cooling your home.
